I finally finished it last week! This is the 9th DIY mini house I’ve completed solo. I instantly fell in love with the design the moment I saw it. It was truly love at first sight — just stunning!
BUT I do not recommend this one for beginners! Some wood pieces are fragile and prone to breaking. The instruction manual can be a little more clear. I feel like some wires won’t fit through the designated paths, so I had to get creative.
Anyways I'm glad it's done, so I get to just enjoy looking at it.
I had never made a Chinese-style pavilion mini house before—not because I didn’t like them, but because they always looked really difficult at first glance. Given my tendency to leave projects unfinished, I never dared to start one. But my friend picked this one to assemble together, so I thought I should finally give it a try.
This one is exactly what I picture when I think of a peaceful, fairy-tale retreat. But it’s also a little difficult. The furniture is tiny, the wiring is a little complex. So a couple of tips: for the wiring, you can drill your own holes if you'd like in the wooden board to better route the circuit. Pick a day when your mood is calm to wire everything, it might test your patience haha.
For the waterfall, pre-bend the acrylic to match the shape of the frame before gluing it.
The result is stunning, just look at the pictures!
