Step into a gritty, nostalgic slice of history with this Kowloon Walled City DIY mini house kit—a tribute to the legendary maze of shops, signs, and side streets that once defined urban life in Hong Kong. Unlike most miniature houses, this build features a rare double-sided design—letting you explore the gritty charm of both the bustling exterior and the detailed interior.
One side captures the iconic façade of the Walled City: a dense, chaotic stack of balconies, signage, and makeshift structures that once defined the world's most densely populated neighborhood. Perfect for fans of scale models and historical craft ideas, it offers a gritty snapshot of a place that buzzed with life.
Flip it around to reveal a richly detailed miniature barbershop that once lived within the city, complete with red leather chairs, cluttered shelving, vintage tools, and tiled walls. This side feels lived-in and local, echoing the city’s legacy of craftsmanship and community.
Whether you’re into DIY and crafts or making miniatures with a story, this kit is an immersive journey through time and architecture—a bold addition to any miniature collection.

This one recreates the bustling, gritty life of the Kowloon Walled City. I'd recommend taking the time to build it, and savor all the details.
Finally finished building this! Since it’s my first time with a model kit, my build was a bit sloppy haha. The whole kit is wooden so my hands hurt from snapping the pieces out lol. A few tiny pieces didn’t get put on, but it doesn’t affect the overall look. The details are really spot-on — all those shop signs, and even the little barber shop, woot! Definitely worth a go!
