A kit that’ll wear your hands down but totally worth it for Harry Potter fans! Remember the rotating staircase from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? It even comes with dynamic photo inserts, and the finished piece looks amazing! With built-in lighting, so it can double as a night light or bookend.
My coworker spent three days researching the perfect gift — and absolutely nailed it with this farewell present. I pulled two all-nighters to finish it!
I built my favorite, the Harry Potter-style rotating staircase! It's so beautiful!
The instructions were pretty bare-bones though, which wasn’t super convenient.
And the portraits? They actually change depending on the angle — so cool! They included plenty of extra materials too, probably in case any wood broke during assembly, which was such a thoughtful touch.
You can paint it yourself for a fully custom look, but I skipped that part since it would’ve taken too long.
Anyways, the more I look at it, the more I love it.
Assembling the Hogwarts-style rotating staircase from small wooden boards, was tough on the hands. I thought I could finish it in one morning, but it ended up taking a full four days. The difficulty and complexity were way beyond what I expected. But it’s incredibly satisfying in terms of detail and has great playability.
It's like a dream come true!
