I recently came across these bookends and bought one right away — and wow, the quality is honestly amazing. The materials are top-notch, and the instructions are super clear. It only took me about four hours to finish, even with a meal and a COVID test break in between lol.
The finished piece looks fantastic, it's such impressive quality! I’ve got another kit waiting to be built next week when I find the time.
A portal to another world hidden in the bookshelf!
I finally put it together, took about a day and was a good way to spend time at home. The nautical/retro aesthetic really shines and matches my books perfectly.
If I had to nitpick, some of the tiny items clash a bit in style—there's a mix of cartoonish and realistic elements that feels a little inconsistent. Also, the materials are all uniformly thick wood boards, so a few parts couldn’t be made truly 3D and had to rely on silhouette cutouts and stickers, which doesn’t hold up well under close inspection. But overall, the final result still looks great!
